General Questions
Can I seek emergency medical care at your facility?
If you have a medical emergency which requires immediate attention, always call 9-1-1. For medical care issues which don’t require immediate attention, Alliance Community Healthcare is open to walk-ins for urgent care and we are available on-call after hours.
If I am a registered patient of Alliance Community Healthcare, how can I obtain assistance after hours or for emergencies?
Alliance Community Healthcare has extended evening hours to better meet your health care needs. Alliance Community Healthcare is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 8:00 p.m. On Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
If you are a registered patient and need assistance after our normal hours of service, please call 201-451-6300, option 8. Alliance Community Healthcare has an after-hours call system and you will be connected to a medical professional for assistance and guidance.
If you experience a life-threatening medical emergency at any time day or night, please call 9-1-1 for emergency medical assistance.
Are you a free clinic?
We are not a free clinic. Alliance Community Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering high quality, affordable healthcare. If you have a government-issued medical insurance, such as Medicaid, you may qualify for medical care at no cost to you. Otherwise, you can apply for our affordable sliding scale fee discount program, or request a self-pay payment plan. Regardless of your ability to pay, Alliance Community Healthcare will work with you to meet your medical needs.
How can I apply for Alliance Community Healthcare’s sliding scale fee discount program?
The sliding scale fee discount program offers affordable healthcare to our patients. The program is based solely on family size and income. To apply, you must provide proof of income, such as your most recent paycheck stub. For a complete list ofqualifying documents and methods to receive access to significantly lower medical and dental costs, please ask a patient registration associate for further details.
I have private medical insurance through my employer. Can I still receive medical attention at Alliance Community Healthcare?
Please call at 201-451-6300 and ask if we currently are contracted with your private insurer. You may also ask any patient registration representative to confirm that your health plan in accepted at Alliance Community Healthcare.
If I am receiving prenatal care at one of your health centers, will my baby be delivered in the same clinic?
No. Our doctors deliver babies at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus. Please talk to your OB/GYN Providers for details.
I don't speak English
Most of our healthcare providers and health support employees are bilingual. Among the languages which our employees speak, other than English and Spanish, are Tagalog and Arabic. Any Alliance Community Healthcare Patient Access Representatives positioned at your clinic’s registration desk can provide assistance with scheduling an interpreter for your appointment. We want to make sure that you feel at ease while communicating with your health provider. If a bilingual provider is not available at the time of your appointment, we will make sure a medical or dental assistant is present to interpret for you.
Are sign language translation services available?
Yes. For any of your upcoming appointments requiring sign language translation, please request scheduling assistance from any Patient Access Representative positioned at your clinic’s registration desk.
Do I need to have Medicaid or another form of health insurance coverage in order to receive treatment at Alliance Community Healthcare?
No. Although we accept Medicaid, Medicare, and other government-issued health plans, we also offer self-pay options for all of our registered patients. Regardless of your ability to pay, we can offer a discount program or payment plan that meets your needs.
Are there any discount programs for patients?
Yes. We have a very affordable sliding scale fee discount program for medical and dental services, which is offered to patients. Family size and income are also essential factors for determining the level of your discount. The applied discount terms are valid for up to six months, and can be re-qualified and renewed immediately following the term’s expiration date. Please visit our health center and speak to a Patient Access Representative for full details.
Can someone help me to apply for Medicaid or other types of government-issued health insurance coverage?
Yes. Our attentive Patient Services Representatives can help guide you through the process of applying for Medicaid and other government-issued health insurance coverage and programs. Please make an appointment, we will be happy to assist you.
How can I apply for Medicaid?
Medicaid is a government-issued health insurance, not an Alliance Community Healthcare funded program. Requirements to apply for Medicaid vary by certain factors, including age, immigration status, family size, and income. Please schedule an appointment with one our Patient Services Representative who can provide guidance for where to obtain and how to fill out the required application(s), as well as where to submit the completed documents for final processing by The County. Please see our website section which describes other support services for further information.
Does Alliance Community Healthcare have after-hour services?
Yes, we offer after-hours services at Alliance Community Healthcare, located at 115 Christopher Columbus Drive, Jersey City, NJ, 07302, (Monday – Thursday from 8am until 8pm, Friday from 8 am until 6pm).
Does Alliance Community Healthcare have a pharmacy?
Yes, for your convenience as a registered patient, we have a pharmacy on site at 115 Christopher Columbus Drive, 1st floor.
Does the Alliance Community Healthcare pharmacy offer home delivery?
Yes, for your convenience as a registered patient, our pharmacy can deliver prescriptions.
